Whether you're in the rescue dog park playing, walking dogs, assisting at events, or helping with administrative tasks, your efforts ensure that our dogs receive the care, love, and attention they deserve.
Volunteer Opportunities
We offer a variety of volunteer roles to suit your interests and skills:
- Dog Walking and Socialization: Help exercise and socialize our dogs, preparing them for adoption.
- Event Assistance: Support our fundraising events and adoption days by helping set up, engaging with attendees, and spreading awareness.
- Administrative Support: Assist with clerical tasks, data entry, and maintaining records.
- Foster Care: Provide temporary homes for dogs in need of extra care.
- Shelter Support: Help with cleaning, feeding, and caring for the dogs at our facility.
Volunteer Process
- Application: Complete our online volunteer application form
- . Provide us with some details about yourself, your interests, and any relevant experience.
- Orientation: Attend a volunteer orientation session to learn about our mission, policies, and procedures. This session will also include a tour of our facility.
- Training: Depending on your role, you may need to complete specific training sessions. For example, dog walkers will receive training on handling and safety protocols.
- Scheduling: Once you're trained, you can sign up for volunteer shifts using our online scheduling tool. We offer flexible hours to accommodate your availability.
- Get Started: Begin volunteering! You'll be paired with a mentor who can provide guidance and support as you get started.
Volunteer Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old (or accompanied by a parent/guardian if under 18).
- Commit to a minimum of 6 hours per month.
- Complete a background check (for certain roles).
- Attend orientation and any required training sessions.
- Have a genuine love for animals and a commitment to our mission.
