Your generous donations enable us to provide critical care and services to animals who depend on our support. This Pledge Policy outlines how your contributions are used to directly impact the lives of animals in our care.

We have established three primary donation categories to ensure transparency and targeted use of funds:

Purpose: Supporting the safe movement of animals to their forever homes or medical facilities.

Fund Usage:

• Local transport fees within Texas
• Out-of-state transport fees for long-distance adoptions
• Transportation costs for emergency medical care
• Professional transport services and coordination fees

Transport donations ensure that distance is never a barrier to finding loving homes for our rescued animals.

Purpose: Providing comprehensive healthcare for animals in our care.

Fund Usage:

• Health examinations by licensed veterinarians
• Health certificates required for transport and adoption
• Prescription medications and treatments
• Diagnostic tests including blood work, X-rays, and specialized testing
• Surgical procedures and emergency medical care
• Preventive care including vaccinations and parasite prevention
• Spay/neuter services
• Rehabilitation and recovery supplies

Medical donations directly impact the health and well-being of every animal we rescue, ensuring they receive proper care before finding their forever homes.

Purpose: Supporting our weekly Sunday Live program and associated activities.

Fund Usage:

• Dog treats for animals in ACS San Antonio care during events
• Dog toys for enrichment and play
• Dog stuffed animals for comfort and companionship
• Special items featured during Sunday Live programs
• Supplies for interactive activities and demonstrations

• All donations are processed securely through our approved payment systems
• Donors will receive confirmation of their donation and designation
• Tax receipts will be provided for all eligible donations as required by law

• Donations will be allocated to the specific category designated by the donor
• If no category is specified, donations will be allocated to the area of greatest need
• Funds within each category may be used for any purpose outlined in that category's fund usage section
• All donations are final and non-refundable

• We maintain detailed records of all donations and expenditures
• Annual reports detailing fund usage by category will be shared annually
• Donors may request information about how their specific contributions were used

• Donors may set up recurring monthly donations to any category
• Recurring donations can be modified or cancelled at any time by contacting us
• Donors will receive monthly confirmation of recurring donations

• Right to know how donations are used
• Right to receive accurate information about our organization
• Right to have donations used for their designated purpose
• Right to receive tax receipts for eligible donations

• Provide accurate contact and payment information
• Notify us of any changes to contact information
• Understand that all donations are final and non-refundable

In cases of emergency or special circumstances, we may need to redirect funds to address immediate animal welfare needs. Donors will be notified of any such redirections, and we will work to honor the original intent of donations whenever possible.

All donor information is kept confidential in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We do not sell, trade, or share donor information with third parties for commercial purposes.
